What? People are willing to compete for a chance to Skype with Sanjay Gupta? For their book club? That doesn't seem like a very exciting prize. Especially when you consider that it will probably just wind up being a chance for him to pitch his new book.

Prizes that would be more enticing:

• The opportunity to talk to a real doctor who actually practices medicine on living people instead of blabbing about near-death experiences on 24-hour cable news shows.
• Learning about medical issues that aren't sensationalist...oh wait, this is CNN. Nevermind.
